Configured level measurement packages for tanks, silos, wells and process vessels

WELK Level configures level instruments around the actual measuring point: range, connection, wetted material, output, display, alarm logic, cable, chamber, antenna, documentation and OEM identity.

Common requests· 01

What can be configured.

Custom configuration without changing the measurement principle

Custom level solutions are used when a standard listing does not match the vessel, medium, signal, installation or documentation requirement. The measurement principle still has to be technically suitable; customization should not be used to force the wrong sensor into a difficult application.

Typical requests include radar with flange, horn, lens or air-purge configuration; guided wave radar with rod, cable or coaxial probe; hydrostatic probes with cable length, material and junction box choices; magnetic gauges with switches or transmitters; and controller packages for local indication or alarm output.

For OEM and distributor orders, WELK can review private label, model code, nameplate content, manual format and packing requirements. Safety approvals, hazardous-area marking and performance limits must match the actual product and confirmed documentation.

Capabilities· 02

Configured around the measuring point.

Configured sensor families

Radar, guided wave radar, ultrasonic, hydrostatic, magnetic gauge, magnetostrictive, DP and point level switch packages can be reviewed by application.

Process connection adaptation

Thread, flange, bracket, chamber, top mount, side mount, cable suspension and remote display arrangements are matched to the installation point.

Wetted material review

316L, PTFE, PP, PVDF, PVC, ceramic, lined structures and anti-corrosion cable choices are checked against medium and temperature.

Display and control packages

Transmitters can be paired with local displays, controllers, relay alarms, RS-485 links or cabinet interfaces when the project requires more than a sensor.

OEM and documentation

Distributor labels, model codes, manuals, calibration records, packing marks and certificate packages can be aligned before repeat orders.

Silo and inventory projects

Center-point radar, air-purge radar, rotary paddle switches and 3D silo scanning are reviewed by dust, vessel height and inventory accuracy needs.

Workflow· 03

From site conditions to confirmed build.

Collect process data

Confirm medium, range, vessel drawing, connection, pressure, temperature, material, output signal and quantity.

Day 0

Select measurement principle

Engineering checks whether radar, ultrasonic, hydrostatic, magnetic, guided wave radar, DP or a switch is technically suitable.

1-2 business days

Confirm configuration

Range, connection, cable or probe length, housing, display, relay, material, documentation and OEM requirements are frozen before quoting.

After data review

Build and inspect

Assembly, parameter setting, wiring, output checks, appearance review, accessory check and packing preparation follow the confirmed specification.

Per order scope

Ship and support

Shipment documents, optional calibration records, packing photos and after-sales guidance are prepared according to the confirmed order.

Confidentiality· 07

How project files are handled.

Confidentiality and technical responsibility

Custom projects often involve drawings, old instrument datasheets, installation photos and customer model codes. WELK uses these files only to review selection, quotation, production, inspection and support within the confirmed project scope.

NDA terms can be discussed before confidential files are shared. For safety-related or hazardous-area applications, product marking and documentation must follow the actual certified or documented scope; WELK will not add unsupported approval claims to a private label order.

FAQ· 08

Custom level solution questions.

Yes, when dust, condensation or buildup makes purge useful. The nozzle, pressure, purge gas and mounting position must be reviewed before confirming the configuration.

Yes. Probe type is selected by range, dielectric constant, turbulence, buildup, pressure, temperature and vessel geometry.

Yes. Many projects use a transmitter plus indicator or controller package for local display, pump control or high/low alarm output.

It is useful when uneven material surfaces and volume estimation matter. For a single level value or alarm point, radar or a rotary paddle switch may be more practical.

Private label and documentation can be reviewed for suitable orders, but technical limits, safety markings and product documentation must stay accurate.

Need a configured level package? Send the site data.

Include medium, range, vessel drawing, connection, output signal, power supply, material requirement, documentation and quantity so engineering can confirm what can be customized.

Optional: up to 5 files, 10 MB combined (PDF, photos, CAD, ZIP). For larger packages, submit the form first, then email your files.
